Dipl.-Ing. Mag. Dr. Dr. h.c. Alexander J. Bělohlávek
He graduated in law 1991, in economics 1992 and received his Ph.D. 1993. In 1996 he became associate professor and in 2001 university professor. Currently Alexander Bělohlávek is professor at the University of Ostrava (CZ) and external professor at the Faculty of Law Brno (CZ).
Besides, he practices as attorney-at-law and arbitrator. Prof. Bělohlávek is author of a commentary on the Czech Act on Arbitration, the Rome Convention and the Rome I Regulation as well as on the EC Insolvency Regulation and editor of the Czech Yearbook of International Law, New York 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013; further writings include arbitration, ordre public and criminal law, private international law of European countries etc.
