Isabelle Tschan Harada

Joined UNDP's Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery (BCPR) Rule of Law, Justice and Security Team as Programme Specialist in 2011. From 2009 -2011 she served as a Policy Specialist on Human Rights and Access to Justice at UNDP's Regional Center Dakar. Prior to joining UNDP in 2009, she served as Assistant to the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, supporting fact-finding missions and advising on criminal justice and penitentiary reform in various parts of the world. Previously, Isabelle worked as Human Rights Officer for the UN Peacekeeping Operation in Burundi (ONUB) and as Regional Coordinator for Sub-Saharan Africa with the Swiss Federal Office for Migration. She holds Master's degrees in Human Rights and Democratization (E.MA, Italy and Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, Sweden) and in International Relations (Graduate Institute of International Studies (HEI), Switzerland).
