Post-doc fellow at the Cluster of Excellence "Normative Orders" at the University of Frankfurt/Main and lecturer at the Institute of International Law and International Relations, University of Graz. Matthias studied law in Graz and Geneva and was Fulbright and Boas Scholar at Harvard Law School. The scientific lead of international multistakeholder initiatives on the law and politics of the Internet, he publishes regularly on issues of Internet and the law. He is co-editor of this Yearbook. Recent publications include Völkerrecht in Zeiten des Netzes [International Law in the Internet Age] (2015), Freedom of Expression on the Internet (2014, 2015 [French], 2016 [Turkish], co-author) and The Common Interest in International Law (2014, co-editor).
