David Scott

Is a second year student on the Master's in International Comparative Law programme at University of Helsinki, specialising in public international law. David attained his undergraduate LLB (Hons) from the University of Glasgow in 2014. His Master's thesis research focuses on UK criticism of the European Court of Human Rights from a Principal-Trustee perspective, with additional interests in statehood, self-determination, and critical theories of international law. He currently works as a research assistant at the Erik Castrén Institute of International Law and Human Rights, and has lectured at University of Glasgow and the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz on human rights, media law, and Scots law.
